LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to Seven Glens, our little piece of paradise nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Seven Glens (conceived in 1999), is a development of 210 lots on 700 acres of forested land located in southern Madison County. The community is about 25 minutes from downtown Asheville and 15 minutes from Weaverville, NC. Mars Hill is about 10 minutes to the northwest. Presently, we have some 100 homes, each built on a minimum of 2 acres, making Seven Glens an attractive estate subdivision. We have approximately 11 miles of paved roads and all properties are on well and septic. Internet accessibility is generally good through cable and satellite sources.
Demographically, we have families of all age groups, but we predominantly skew age 50 and above. Taxes are paid to Madison County and are quite reasonable compared to nearby Buncombe County. Annual dues are currently $600 for each home/lot owner, ( with adjustments for contiguous lots).
Financially, Seven Glens maintains a healthy balance to be used primarily for our private roads and grounds maintenance. Recent improvements include a repaving of several miles of roads and beautification of the main entrance.Seven Glens HOA does not own any communal properties.
Located as we are, the area is rich with a range of activities for people of all interests. Residents enjoy golfing at the many courses throughout the area, as well as fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities. The Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway are a short distance away. Asheville and Weaverville offer a range of restaurants and night life options, The greater area also boasts an abundance of churches of all faiths.
Seven Glens has covenants designed to keep the community an attractive and appealing place in which to live. Through our Architectural Review Committee, we also have guidelines for building and remodeling. All positions of governance at Seven Glens are volunteer positions.
If you are a new homeowner in Seven Glens or are considering living in our beautiful community, we welcome you. If you are considering living in the area, we invite you to further explore our website and our community.
